Africa Label Group (ALG) is an independent consulting firm serving governments, development partners and businesses across Africa. We exist for a simple reason: decisions about Africa are better when they are made on African evidence, gathered and interpreted by people who know the terrain.
Our story
ALG was founded in 1999 by Dany Komla Ayida, a public policy specialist, building on a vast network of development practitioners across Africa and its diasporas. The firm was formally incorporated as a professional services company in Burkina Faso in 2007, then expanded to the Democratic Republic of Congo, Burundi, Senegal, Togo, Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire, and today operates across 19 African countries.
ALG also maintains a branch in Madison, Wisconsin (USA) — a strategic office that keeps the firm close to international development agencies and partners in North America.
